New Statues coming up on Tank Bund

Telangana government had started identifying the stalwarts of the region who were either neglected or did not get appropriate respect and recognition, so that their statues can be installed on the Tank Bund.

The Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao himself declared this on Sunday at the diamond jubilee celebrations of Aliyabad Reddy Janasangham. He reiterated that his government would give due recognition and respect to such greats whose memories were forced into oblivion during the combined Andhra Pradesh rule

The Chief Minister hinted that stalwarts such as Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy, Rau Bahadur Venkatrami Reddy, Ravi Narayana Reddy and others were either neglected or did not get due respect and their statues are likely to be put up first on the Tank Bund very soon.
