New Trend on Twitter: Casting calls Crashing Servers

A new trend of choosing the cast of a film via casting call on Twitter has arrived. Film Makers are choosing this way to reach out for maximum number of target audience. Be it Aamir Khan for a Bollywood project or Rana Daggubati and Akshay Kumar in Tollywood ‘Poster Boyz’, tweeting casting calls for their upcoming projects, shows the trend has arrived.

In Tollywood, For director Teja this casting call has become a favourite way of introducing new talent to industry. Besides Teja, We have Shekhar Kammula, Dil Raju and Srinivas Avasarala choosing new talent through casting call. But announcing casting call through Twitter is emerging new trend.

Tollywood film makers are getting superb response for such casting calls and they have to go through thousands of email applications to scrutinize the enthusiastic actors would be. Presently Rana’s team is doing the same for three principal characters of his production venture with Akshay Kumar.
