New War: Without Anirudh, Without Basrur

Tollywood fan wars take new shapes and forms every single week and they have found a new subject in the form of recent OTT debutant Devara. After the Netflix debut of the NTR starrer, a new kind of fan war has opened up.

In this harrowing new trend, the focal point is around two music directors Anirudh Ravichander and Ravi Basrur.

First, it all started with a Prabhas fan sharing a video bit from Devara where NTR pushes the container. The catch here is that this is an edited video and the BGM has been replaced.

This edited video has been shared with different comical audio and it is captioned “Devara without Anirudh”.

As expected this quickly triggered a reaction from NTR’s fans as they started to share an edited video from Salaar. Much in tune with the earlier mentioned video, this bit from Salaar also has a different comical BGM.

The blatant attempt from both sets of fans is to defame the other film by sharing such edited videos. They are attempting to project that it is only Anirudh and Ravi Basrur who saved Devara and Salaar respectively. This is in attempt to hit at the prowess of NTR and Prabhas.

This is again another ugly new trend that has caught on and gained a lot of traction. While the efforts of the music directors is evident, it is the heroes who carry such roles but a bunch of motivated fans have no regard for this as they carry on with their own narratives.
