Next 500 Crore: All Eyes On Suriya & Allu Arjun!

NTR’s Devara has performed well at the box office, crossing the 400-crore gross mark worldwide.

Though expectations were higher, Devara’s business can be considered satisfactory, especially since it was Koratala Siva’s next project after the Acharya debacle, and the film received a mixed response from audiences and critics.

However, Devara couldn’t reach the 500-crore mark, which remains a disappointment for NTR fans.

In Tamil Nadu, both The GOAT and Vettaiyan were major disappointments at the box office. The GOAT somehow managed to cross the 400-crore mark, whereas Vettaiyan is struggling to surpass the 250-crore worldwide gross figure.

Now, all eyes are on which film can be the next to gross 500 crores.

The South Indian film industry is placing its bets on Suriya’s Kanguva and Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2.

Although hopes are high that both films will reach the 1000-crore mark, a 500-crore gross is the bare minimum expectation for them.

Kanguva will need strong word-of-mouth to achieve this milestone, whereas Pushpa 2, even with an average response, is expected to easily surpass 500 crores thanks to its massive pan-India appeal.

In Bollywood, Singham Again will aim for a 500-crore worldwide gross figure, but its success will depend on what Rohit Shetty has cooked this time.
