Mega heroine compared with Savitri – bit overboard?

It was the audio launch event of ‘Oka Manasu’, mega heroine Niharika’s debut movie. Hero Naga Shourya was speaking on stage. When he was speaking about Niharika, he said “I know Savitri is a great heroine. Next came Soundarya and then Anushka. Niharika will be a great actress in their line up”.

There is one and only Savitri in Telugu Film Industry who had set such benchmarks that only a few heroines came near her but never reached her in terms of talent. Comparing Niharika to the likes of Savitri and Soundarya seems a bit overboard.

People had already watched Niharika on small screen and in her web series. She didn’t receive such high praises from audiences for her acting. However we don’t know how she might have performed. Let’s hope Naga Shourya’s words come true and Niharika impresses big time.
