No Red Carpet for KGF 2 At Telugu BO?

KGF catapulted Kannada cinema to fame. The gargantuan response the film received compelled the team to go for KGF 2. The craze around KGF 2 even in Hindi belt is huge but looks like the film won’t have any red carpet welcome at Telugu box-office. Wondering why?

KGF 2 was supposed to hit the screens on July 16 but the second wave wreaked havoc. The latest buzz is that the team is now eyeing to go for September 9 as the release date, on the eve of Vinayaka Chaviti. Owing to the festive holiday followed by the weekend, it is the perfect date for release, but here comes the catch.

Balakrishna and Boyapati Srinu’s Akhanda was to be released on May 28. It is speculated that team Akhanda is planning to have a release on the same date as KGF 2. One can gauge the fandom of Nandamuri fans and how they have been waiting with bated breath to catch Akhanda on screens over a long time.

If KGF 2 happens to release on the same day as Akhanda then we can see theaters with packed houses for the latter. While KGF 2 undoubtedly has huge hype but the craze for Balayya Babu is massive in Telugu states. Secondly, as both are mass films the openings are likely to get divided.
