No Special Treatment For Pushpa – DSP

Music director Devi Sri Prasad has been under a lot of pressure lately (with the exception of Uppena). It is related to his music and lack of fresh tunes, even for the biggest movies.

In the first few months after Pushpa’s launch, there was a lot of question mark over his choice. However, many gave it a pass as his combination with Sukumar is special. Well, DSP now says there is no special treatment for Pushpa.

Devi Sri Prasad, who is currently basking in the glory of ‘Seetimaar’ national success says that he doesn’t give any special treatment to ‘one’ project. It could be a Pushpa or PSPK28 or anything else; it is the same effort.

The output that comes in Devi Sri Prasad’s music is purely dependent on the quality of the narration and sessions he has with the director (or other key members) of the respective film. The better inputs he gets, the better is the chance for output, DSP assures.

In the past few years, biggies like Vinaya Vidheya Rama, Maharshi, and Sarileru Neekevvaruu have had disappointing music. It has led to criticism of Devi Sri Prasad in the first place, even though some of those movies were a big commercial success.

We hope for Pushpa’s sake and its pan-India plan, Devi Sri Prasad brings his ace game to play. It doesn’t matter if there is special treatment or not when the final output is ‘special’.
