Why No to Pan-Indian Actor for Mahabharata?

We are now in a fix whether Rajamouli would still prefer to work on his plans to make an epic movie based on Mahabharata while the pre-production works for ‘Mahabharata’ have taken momentum in which Mohanlal would be seen as Bheeshma.

Keeping our doubts aside, let’s talk about this ‘Mahabharata’ to be helmed by director Shrikumar based on M.T. Nair’s novel ‘Randamoozam’ which tells us the story of the emotional side of Bheeshma, his inner conflicts and pain. The director wanted to have only Mohanlal to play the role, though many producers suggested having a pan-Indian actor to play the role, he said.

The project is conceived as humungous as a Rs. 1000 crore project which would be made in five different languages. The canvas of the film needs to be very big and that’s the reason it is made in different languages.
