Not Coincidental? Frame-To-Frame Shots!

Varun Tej’s movie “Operation Valentine” was supposed to come out in early December but got delayed. Releasing earlier would have been preferable to avoid comparisons with Hrithik Roshan’s Fighter, given their similar storylines, inspired by the same events, the Pulwama attack.

“Operation Valentine” is releasing in Hindi as well which is quite strange and risky. The similarities between the two films are glaring and quite unbelievable, with many scenes appearing almost identical.

There are also a few netizens who feel that the makers have deliberately done this to trigger some discussion around their film and gain some buzz. So many frame-to-frame shots can’t just be a coincidence.

It would be a huge challenge for the film to impress the audience who have already watched Fighter. Also, Hrithik was too good in Fighter and Varun Tej has to come up with his career-best act to match Hrithik.

“Fighter” got good reviews but didn’t click with audiences, leading to below-par box office performance. Will ‘Operation Valentine’ surprise at the box office have to be seen?

Directed by Shakti Pratap Singh Hada and produced by Sony Pictures International Productions, “Operation Valentine” hits screens on March 1st.
