Now, Lakshmi’s NTR’s Release Depends on it?

As a filmmaker, RGV is trying his best to get an appropriate and viable release date for his politically motivated film ‘Lakshmi’s NTR’. From attacking the Central Board of Film Certification to approaching the High Court for stopping the interdiction on the movie, the director is hell-bent on releasing the movie before the elections happen.

However, he clarified in a recent conversation that now, everything depends on the Censor Board. A movie can go to the theatres only when the CBFC gives clearance for the theatrical release. If not, either it would remain in the can or go for a YouTube release and release on other digital platforms like Amazon and Netflix. Here, RGV‘s motto is not aiming at digital release as he wants common audiences to watch his film.

Though the CBFC has already stated earlier, that the movie may be violating the election code of conduct, there are several cases that have received a positive response from the judiciary contrary to the CBFC or governments’ decisions. Let’s wait and see the next step of our Censor Board as a lot would depend on their certification.
