Now OLX harassment for women

Popular Online marketing place, OLX which is being used by people to dispose their old belongings, became a nightmare to Neha Shah of Bengaluru. She started getting obscene messages including explicit pictures. She was further harassed on her chatting applications, WhatsApp and Viber.

While the victim complained to OLX team, they just got confined to taking down the ad but offered no further assistance to tackle this menace. The company claims that they are limited in such cases as the harassment took place at other messaging platforms.

They say they have already deployed technical filters to block abusive content over chat and blocking harassers from accessing the platform as soon as information regarding harassment is received. However such measures seem to be not enough to tackle the menace.
