Official: Classic Remake Ready To Start In Telugu

After numerous feelers, finally here is the official announcement regarding the remake of Tamil classic love story 96 in Telugu. On the occasion of Republic Day, the makers, Sri Venkateshwara Creations have revealed it.

The 96 Telugu remake will star Sharwanand and Samantha in the lead. It will be a first time pairing for them. Also, the remake is helmed by C Prem Kumar, the director of the original. The regular shooting for the movie is expected to begin in March.

The original starring Vijay Sethupathy and Trisha was critical as well as commercial success. It has developed a cult following among Telugu urban audience too. It will be interesting to see how the remake is received by the Telugu audience who aren’t aware of the original and movie lovers, in general.
