Right from the teaser release, OG carried huge expectations of becoming Pawan Kalyan’s biggest box office success. Now, that prediction is turning into reality as the film dominates collections everywhere.
Reports confirm that OG is already Pawan Kalyan’s highest-grossing film ever, surpassing his previous records by a wide margin. The film is creating new milestones in both domestic and overseas markets.
On its opening day, OG collected about ₹140 crore gross worldwide. This is the highest opening for any Pawan Kalyan film so far, beating the lifetime earnings of HHVM in just one day. The response has been phenomenal.
Massive premieres across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana added significantly to the film’s revenues. The buzz in Telugu states has helped the film score an unprecedented opening run right from day one.
In the United States, OG collected $3.1 million from premieres alone. The film held steady on day one as well, and the coming weekend will decide its long-term box office run in overseas markets.
Pawan Kalyan is being celebrated on screen like never before. For a regional film to earn such numbers in the middle of pan-India mania makes this achievement even more remarkable.
This success also comes as a relief for Kalyan and the entire mega family, who have been facing a string of failures. The film’s record-breaking start has revived excitement among fans.
The key challenge for OG is to maintain strong collections over the weekend. A ₹275-300 crore gross in its first weekend will secure its place among the biggest blockbusters in Tollywood history.
