The premiere and the subsequent two days (Friday and Saturday) have been steady for Oh Baby. While that is a good thing, the lack of jump on Friday suggests the movie might not have the long legs at the ticket counter like many are expecting at the moments.
Still, as it is, Oh Baby is doing well enough to emerge as a success. Samantha continues to reign in the territory like no other heroine. She is way ahead of her contemporaries here. With good films catering to the sensibilities of the US audience, one can see it staying that way in the near future as well.
In the Telugu states, after a decent opening day, the movie has picked up on its second day all over. The third is likely to emerge as the best one.
However, it is the weekday’s performance that would determine where Oh Baby ends up eventually. It is a success, but the range would be determined based on what lies ahead. Nandini Reddy of Ala Modalaindi and Kalyana Vaibhogame fame is the director for this female-centric movie also starring veteran actor Lakshmi, Rajendra Prasad, and Rao Ramesh among others.
