One Dialogue Costed National Award For THIS Film?

The 69th National Film Awards were announced the other day and Telugu cinema had a field day by winning as many as 10 awards here. However, Tamil cinema had a disappointing day as their critically acclaimed films like Sarpatta, Jai Bhim, and others missed out on national accreditations.

Especially, there’s a lot of talk about why Jai Bhim missed out on the national award despite addressing such a critical social issue and have an earnest narration.

Well, netizens are now saying that there’s this one scene in the film which could’ve resulted in the film not getting the national award.

There’s this scene where Prakash Raj slaps a man for speaking in Hindi, and the asks him to speak in Tamil.

Netizens are saying that this controversial scene could’ve irked the central BJP government and also the national jury and that’s the reason why they could’ve avoided validating the film.

Well, this is one of the logical explanations for Jai Bhim, a well deserved film missing out on the National Awards but we will never know for certain so as to the real factor that resulted in this ignorance.
