One more shot in arm of AP's hardware plans

Andhra Pradesh’s dream of becoming the hardware hub of the South received a shot in the arm as Tirupati is gearing up to get the first LED manufacturing plant. The state government reportedly closed a deal with a leading company for this plant.

The government will only reveal the details once every thing is final and binding. This company reportedly planned to setup the plant near Chennai but AP officials managed to bring them to Tirupati with various incentives.

It is also said that the government is in talks with eight companies in Bengaluru to shift base to AP. These companies are asking lands near to Bengaluru for obvious reasons. These plans if materialized, will bring 10000 direct employment opportunities to the state.
