One Release Date Option Already Gone For RRR

SS Rajamouli has created a new trend by announcing two probable release dates for his RRR. March 18th and April 28th are the release dates, the RRR team announced. But if the rumors are to be believed, the March 18th option is lost for Rajamouli.

Late Puneeth Rajkumar‘s last film, James is announced for March 17th release. Rumors are rife that Karnataka distributors have decided not to release any movie in the state from March 17th to 23rd. So that all the theaters will only play James as a tribute to the state’s favorite son.

If true, the March 18th option is gone for RRR. Karnataka is too big a market for a film of RRR size to ignore. That leaves April 28th as the only option for the movie. March 17th also happens to be Puneeth’s Birth Anniversary.

If this is really the proposal by the distributors, there is nothing much the RRR team can do to push for a postponement as that would hurt the sentiments of Kannadigas.

Meanwhile, a special poster of James will be out tomorrow as Republic Day Special.
