Popular Mobile Phone maker, OnePlus is now on its way to Andhra Pradesh. The company had partnered with Goxconn to commence local assembly operations in India. Andhra Pradesh is slowly evolving as India’s mobile manufacturing hub. The state already got Xiaomi, Karbon, Celkon and Micromax and Lava Mobiles in its ranks. The facility coming up at Sri City will have a cumulative peak capacity of producing up to 5 lakh units per month and will also generate direct employment of over 1,000 full time workers.

India is one of the world’s fastest growing smartphone markets and local production will make the company’s operations more efficient in terms of cost and working capital requirements and also help in making its products available for sale faster than before. An investor friendly government is drawing them to AP.
