Box Office: Avg In India, Career Best In US

The Tollywood box office saw one new notable theatrical outing this weekend in the form of Ooru Peru Bhairavakona
which hit the theaters on the 16th of this month.

Coming to the box office returns, the Sundeep Kishan starrer performed on an average note at the box office. The makers held premieres two days before the release and this didn’t help too much due to the weak word of mouth. As a result, the important Friday(release day) surge went missing.

But the film picked up slightly over the weekend being the only choice for the Telugu audience. This helped in registering whatever moderate revenues it posted domestically.

But in the USA, this mystical thriller worked the trick by clocking over $250K over the weekend. This is already the career-highest number for Sundeep Kishan in the USA and this is some solace for the talented young hero who has been in desperate need of success. The genre and theme have worked in its favor in the USA.

With no notable direct competition this weekend either, it has to be seen where this film will end up. With better word of mouth, the film could have very well been a box office winner with two free weekends to have a good box office run.
