Oscar Award Memento redesigned back in 2016

The presentation of Academy Awards(Oscar Awards) started in 1929. For winners, there is one memento being presented in award ceremony. The memento builds with height of 13.5inches and weight of 13.5kgs.

In 2016 year, the Oscar committee restored the look of Oscars presented in the year 1929. The Oscar awards memento has changed slightly in the year 1982. After 35 years Oscar team decided to change the look way back to 1929. They gave this job to New York foundry which made 50 Oscars ready for coming Feb 28th ceremony. It took 3 months for making Oscars as per 1929 model.

They created 3-D printed model of Oscars and after that they made a ceramic shell at 1600 degree Fahrenheit as per model. In that shell wax has been melted at 1800 degree Fahrenheit and melted steel will be poured subsequently. Finishing to surface will be done with 24 carat gold.
