OTT Sensation To Play YS Jagan

Talented director Mahi V Raghav churned out decent films like Anando Brahma, but he surprised one and all when he announced Yatra, the biopic on late YS Rajasekhara Reddy. The director has again hit headlines by taking everyone with surprise that he is planning a biopic on YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

The news is now viral in Filmnagar and also in political circles. The biopic will feature Bollywood actor Pratik Gandhi of Scam 1992 fame in Jagan’s shoes. Scam 1992 was aired on SonyLIV, which is India’s most critically acclaimed series. The actor played Harshad Mehta and got wide recognition for the role.

When approached for the biopic, Pratik Gandhi was eager to be part of the project as he was stunned by the gripping narration. The reason for roping Hindi actor was to give a pan-India appeal. Mahi V Raghav had in the past paid tribute to YS Jagan by releasing a song after the successful completion of a year. Looks like, the filmmaker is trying to give milage to Jagan.

Apart from the biopic, Mahi V Raghav will be working with Shraddha Srinath for a satirical drama. He may also team up with Nithiin for a cop-drama. More details about the respective films will be out soon.
