Ours Is Not a Biopic, It’s a Crime Thriller

Once again, the winking girl, Priya Prakash Varrier has become the topic of discussion across various media platforms with the teaser of her upcoming Bollywood debut ‘Sridevi Bungalow‘ having shots that are quite suggestive and look like taken from the life of legendary’s Sridevi’s stardom, life and the controversial death in a bathtub.

Talking about the current controversy, Priya says that their movie isn’t a biopic and only a crime-thriller that will be shot in London. It depicts the life of a heroine and not the yesteryear diva, Sridevi. The wink girl adds that she will not just walk around and reveal the plot of the movie to prove that they weren’t actually inspired from real actress Sridevi’s life. She wants the audiences to decide and if she says anything now, the suspense would be revealed and there is no point in revealing the suspense when it is a crime-thriller.

However, we don’t know if Boney Kapoor who slapped a legal notice on the makers of ‘Sridevi Bungalow’ will buy the explanation of the makers and Priya Prakash Varrier. One must agree that though it could be a fictitious story, the bathtub drowning scene in enough to raise suspicions on the intentions of the makers. Maybe, there is no resemblance in the story but it’s obvious that the controversy is adding to the curiosity on the film.
