Pak singer, Newly Indian Tweets 'Jai Hind'

India is still reeling from irresponsible remarks made by various celebrities regarding intolerance in the country. Meanwhile Pakistan born singer Adnan Sami vehemently denies all such claims and remarks that he has never faced any intolerance in India country is famously tolerant of all cultures.

This came in the wake of Adnan Sami being granted citizenship in India. The actor had originally came to India in 2001 on a visitor’s visa with one year validity which was extended several times. According to Home Ministry officials, earlier in 2015, his Pakistani passport expired and he requested the Centre to legalise his status in the country on humanitarian grounds which was then granted.

The singer was jubilant with the news and along with the Indian tricolor this message “A New Beginning… A New Feeling… A New Belonging… A New Love Affair… A New Country… JAI HIND!!!”
