Pawan Kalyan Changes Strategy for Tirupati By-poll

Reports are emerging that Janasena President Pawan Kalyan is planning a huge public meeting in Tirupati in a month. Janasena wants to have this meeting on the scale of Praja Rajyam’s inauguration public meeting in 2008.

BJP and Janasena want to make this public meeting a huge success and a show of strength as a precursor to the Tirupati Loksabha By-election. They are hoping that such a meeting will have a huge impact on their chances of winning the election.

Sources say that Pawan Kalyan is convinced about leaving the seat to BJP. “Contesting Tirupati will be a huge risk. It is an unfavorable turf and an adverse result will kill the party in the people and BJP will also start underestimating Janasena,” a source in the party told us.

“YSRCP as the Ruling Party will have an edge in Tirupati. BJP polled fewer votes than NOTA here. Let them fight and even a decent performance will go into the account of Janasenani due to this meeting. So, it is better for Janasena to stay away from this election and at the same time get an impression whatever BJP gets it is due to Pawan Kalyan,” the source added.
