Pawan only savior of ‘Gopala Gopala’ against ‘I’

It’s a known fact that Gopala Gopala was to release as a Sankranti gift to the Telugu audience. There were several movies lined up for release around the same time- NTR’s Temper, Ajith’s Yennai Arindhaal. However, Shankar’s I too is hitting screens on the same day. This made the makers jittery as they don’t want their hard work to go in vain given Shankar’s record-breaking history. Thus they withdrew from the race.

The makers of Gopala Gopala however thought why not advance the date and release it much before I. Thus, the date 9 was chosen. Censor delay postponed it by another day. Now, Gopala Gopala has released today and has four days to rake in all the moolah possible at the Box Office. The buzz in filmnagar circles is if the movie can bear the power of I and sustain for long in theatres post Shankar’s movie release.

The film has an impressive star cast-Venkatesh, Pawan Kalyan, Shriya Saran and Mithun Chakraborty. However, the makers have made Pawan do an extended cameo to lure more people to the theatres. It now remains to be seen if Pawan mania can help movie sustain in theatres even after I release. Let’s wait and watch.
