Chiranjeevi Talks Fail? Pawan Kalyan Twist Loading for Peddi?

The percentage-sharing dispute between Telugu film producers and single-screen exhibitors has now reached a stage where the entire industry is waiting for one question to be answered: can Chiranjeevi actually solve it?

With public statements, press meets, and indirect attacks increasing from both producers’ and exhibitors’ sides, senior industry members finally approached Chiranjeevi to step in.

During today’s key meeting, Chiranjeevi reportedly heard arguments from exhibitors, producers, and Film Chamber representatives before making one thing clear: the issue cannot be viewed from the perspective of one film or one section alone. He reportedly stressed that everyone must respect decisions taken by the Telugu Film Chamber and advised industry members against taking internal disagreements directly to the media.

But the bigger challenge for Chiranjeevi may lie elsewhere.

Ram Charan’s Peddi now sits directly in the middle of this controversy. That creates a difficult balancing act. Chiranjeevi cannot openly ask exhibitors to relax demands because his own son’s film is approaching release. At the same time, he also cannot publicly push producers toward immediate percentage sharing when several producer groups themselves remain unconvinced about the model.

Trade discussions suggest many producers are worried that even a 10-15% revenue-sharing structure could significantly affect margins, particularly for expensive films carrying huge recovery pressure. Producer groups are also reportedly preparing financial breakdowns to explain their concerns before any final decision gets locked.

Single-screen owners, meanwhile, argue that earlier committees failed to solve their problems, creating distrust over time. Chiranjeevi reportedly acknowledged that concern and assured stakeholders that the current Film Chamber committee would work toward a balanced solution before the June 30 deadline.

However, despite stepping in as mediator, Chiranjeevi still has not publicly revealed where he personally stands.

That silence has now become one of the biggest talking points in trade circles.

Adding another twist to the situation, a fresh development has now sparked new discussion inside industry circles. While exhibitors approached Chiranjeevi to present their concerns, producers are now reportedly preparing to meet Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan and explain their side of the issue.

According to industry talk, a group of producers is expected to meet Pawan Kalyan in Rajahmundry tomorrow evening to discuss the percentage-sharing dispute and present their version of events.

This latest move has strengthened speculation that the Chiranjeevi meeting may not have produced a fully positive breakthrough or final clarity yet. If both sides continue reaching out to influential industry figures separately, it could indicate that a consensus still remains some distance away.

The next 24 hours are now expected to play a crucial role. The Telugu film industry waits to see whether these discussions finally move toward resolution or push the standoff into an even more complicated phase.
