Paid Premieres: Charan Will Have To Start Batting!

Ram Charan will have to start the batting immediately, and this is a metaphor statement, considering that the advance bookings for Peddi must pick up on his name, and also he will have to hold the bat in the film as he will be seen as a cricketer.

Interestingly, the makers have gone for advance premier shows for this film, meaning that the first shows will be starting by mystically on June 3 night itself.

This is a very risky strategy for big hero films as any kind of detrimental word of mouth from these premier years will have a shocking effect on the first day numbers.

Generally, this strategy of paid premiums can be seen as a sign of confidence that the makers are confident that the film will definitely impress the audience. This might have gone south in the recent past but that didn’t stop the makers of Peddi from going for it.

It needs to be said that Peddi hasn’t generated a whole lot of momentum that was originally expected of it. But considering that the Telugu audience are desperate for film experience, the vacuum will play into this playbook of Peddi now.

Charan appears to be very confident about the outcome of this film, and that was evident in his speech last night. But it will all come down to the end product that was prepared by director Buchi Babu. We will be getting a first experience of the film, starting from around 24 hours as the paid premieres are starting tomorrow night.
