Pelli Choopulu – A Hit at US BO

Any film that has a bigger Saturday than its opening day (Premiere +Friday) is a well appreciated movie. If it’s a small movie the appreciation is even bigger, to put it mildly.

Pellichoopulu literally an unknown movie before a fortnight is now the center of attraction in Telugu cinema what with SS Rajamouli too joining the bandwagon to praise it. Given this strong praise, critically and otherwise, improvement in the box office was a must and that’s what we are witnessing in locally and internationally.

In the US, after a decent opening on Friday, Pellichoopulu has collected $ 112K on Saturday to take the total to $ 187K. The film is already a hit at this point and is now looking to reach Superhit status with the growing word of mouth.
