Shruti Haasan is a very successful heroine today with many blockbusters in her kitty but a few years ago the situation was exactly opposite. People feared to take her in movies as she spelled doom. She was branded as iron leg by many.

That’s when director Harish Shankar took a bold decision and cast her in the film Gabbar Singh.

The rest, as they say, is history. The director is repeating the same sentiment with the upcoming film of Allu Arjun, DJ.

Pooja Hegde who has so far starred in all unsuccessful films, including the mega disaster Mohenjo Daro has been roped in as heroine for DJ.
