Pooja Hegde’s Hype Costs 2 Cr!

‘Valmiki’, the official remake of critically acclaimed Tamil movie ‘Jigarthanda’ will be the first production of 14 Reels Plus and it will be directed by Harish Shankar. While Varun Tej will be reprising the role essayed by Siddharth in the original, Pooja Hegde is said to be roped in for playing the female lead.

She is charging a whopping Rs. 2 crores as per the reports, and she must be thankful for the hype that was created around her by the credit of the big movies she had worked in. She was lucky enough to be paired up with all big stars but so far, none of her films turned blockbusters.

‘Maharshi‘ with Mahesh Babu is all set for release and there are hopes that it might turn the first blockbuster for the leggy lass. In ‘Valmiki’, she will have a limited screen presence like Lakshmi Menon had in the original, but the makers are doling out huge amount only to create hype with a big star cast.

When it comes to Harish Shankar, he is still struggling and not in proper form. He needs to prove that he is still in the game. In the present situation, a new director is proving his talent every few weeks. He must up his game, definitely. We must say that ‘Valmiki’ is anyway a risky game.
