Poor Sunil – Who Will Give Him a Break?

When comedian turned hero Sunil decided to come back to the genre he was adept at, every Telugu movie fan might have felt that his decision was thoughtful as he was unsuccessfully playing the hero of several films. Much talked about Sunil’s comedian avatar is also past, now as he did a couple of films already as a comedian and both of them disappointed, big time.

There was nothing like Sunil’s mark innocent comedy in ‘Aravinda Sametha’. There had been a hope that vintage Sunil will be back with ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’ and the same thing was hyped during the promotions, as well. The lacklustre script and the poor comic writing didn’t help Sunil in any way. In both the cases, audiences expected something fresh from Sunil but both the movies were a huge let down for Sunil re-entry as a comedian.

He needs to be very selective otherwise, there is a danger that he will soon fade out as a comedian if the same thing continues to happen with his next movies, even. When Sunil is there in a film, audiences expectations will be high and one good movie with proper comedy interwoven in the script will help his cause. Hopeful, he will be choosy and doesn’t fall for the names but only for good writing.
