Popular actor Kalabhavan Mani passes away

Yet another popular actor has breathed his last. This time Malayalam actor Kalabhavan Mani. He is reported to have died of liver complications for which he has been undergoing treatment for the past few weeks. He was only 45 years old and is survived by wife and a daughter.

For Telugu audience the actor was introduced as villain in the Venkatesh starrer Gemini. Since then he had done many films playing the villain role in his trademark style that included mimicking animals. He is also a National Award winner for Best Actor (Jury) for his Malayalam film Vasanthiyum Lakshmiyum Pinne Nijanum (remade as Seenu Vasanthi Lakshmi in Telugu).

His journey from being an auto driver to finally being an actor of such stature is an inspiration for many aspiring artist. May his soul rest in peace.
