Popular TV Channel Minted TRPs on Sridevi’s Death

TRPs game between the channels can sometimes turn nasty leaving the viewers fazed by the cheap acts that are intentional. While a few popular national channels aired stories on Sridevi’s death using graphics and with disgusting titles, one popular Telugu channel too caught the flow.

It aired a programme that was titled ‘Sridevi’s Death an Accident or Suicide?’ The channel used graphics to show how Sridevi might have drowned in the bathtub. This irked many social media users who made a scathing attack on the channel for its cheap standards to gain TRPs from Sridevi’s death. Anything for TRPs!?

Some of the national channels and the Telugu channel aired stories with titles like ‘Sridevi in the Bathtub’ and used graphics to show Sridevi lying down on her bed, Boney Kapoor knocking her washroom door, Sridevi drowned in the bathtub etc. The above-mentioned Telugu channel took the graphics drama to the next level.
