Director Hanu Raghavapudi is teaming up with Prabhas for a pre-Independence era drama titled Fauji. Sources close to the project say Prabhas was so impressed with Hanu’s vision and dedication that he agreed to do another film with him.
Prabhas has a packed schedule. Raja Saab is nearing completion and will release on January 9. Fauji is planned for the second half of 2026, and Hanu is designing a unique look for Prabhas to match the film’s period backdrop. After that, Prabhas will move to Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit, a film expected to push creative boundaries.
Beyond these, Prabhas also has Salaar 2 and Kalki 2 on his list. There’s buzz about another project with Prasanth Varma as well. Reports now suggest that Hanu and Prabhas will reunite immediately after Fauji for a fresh story under Hombale Productions.
If everything goes as planned, Prabhas will work with Hanu again under the Hombale banner. The production house, known for hits like Mahavatar Narsimha and Kantara: Chapter 1, has already announced three films with Prabhas.
However, not all fans are thrilled. Some feel Hanu’s classy storytelling style doesn’t suit Prabhas’ larger-than-life image. They prefer seeing him in big-scale, mass-action roles that dominate the pan-India market. One Fauji is fine, but another similar project feels less exciting to fans seeking high-voltage entertainment.
Still, it’s too early to judge. How Hanu Raghavapudi handles a mass star like Prabhas will be clear only after Fauji hits theatres. Until then, fans should wait and watch before forming opinions about this collaboration.
