Prabhas’ 5-Year-Old Flop Still A Dream For Many!

Saaho, Prabhas’ film released almost 5 years ago garnered massive success despite being considered a subpar film by many. As Prabhas celebrates his 45th birthday today, it is an ideal time to reflect on the success of Saaho.

Released in 2019, Saaho made a gross collection of ₹417.5 Cr. globally, according to trade reports. In contrast, Pushpa: The Rise, released in 2021, reached a worldwide collection of ₹393.5 Cr.

Going by Bollywood news websites, Jr. NTR’s Devara: Part 1, still running on the big screen, recently crossed the ₹400 Cr. mark.

Although Pushpa: The Rise did manage to beat Saaho in India with ₹355.5 Cr., Saaho won the Hindi Box Office, grossing a total of ₹171.5 Cr., according to reports.

This shows the immense love Prabhas gets from the Hindi audience as well, following his Baahubali craze.

Despite being considered a subpar film by many, Saaho rode on Prabhas’ star power and the massive success of the Baahubali franchise to make its way to the top.

Saaho still reigns supreme in the overseas market among the three films, with a net collection of ₹78 Cr., with Devara: Part 1 closing in fast with its ₹76 Cr. present collection, according to reports.

Saaho’s global dominance feels quite hard to shake even after 5 years of its release.

As Prabhas turns a year older today, it’s worth praising how the standards set by a badly reviewed film like Saaho are still unbeatable by many.
