
To clear the doubt, the Adipurush team reiterated that they are arriving on August 11 as stated before. This is the best date for Prabhas starrer as August 11 happens to be Raksha Bandha, a public holiday. Then August 13 and 14 comes weekend, followed by Independence Day on August 15.
Then comes Parsi New Year on August 16, then we have Janmashtami either on August 18 or 19. Thus, Adipurush right from its release date has an advantage to cash in at the ticket window. However, Prabhas’ best date comes with a twist as the film will be vying for the biggest box-office clash with Akshay Kumar’s film Raksha Bandhan on the same day.
But Adipurush being a pan-Indian film and the canvas it mounts, Raksha Bandhan may get postponed. We have seen how Aamir Khan’s Lal Singh Chaddha cleared the way for Ranveer Singh starrer 83 by leaving the Christmas 2021 slot.
