Rashmika Hits Back at Trolls: I’m OBSESSED with My Man

Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna have been facing extreme backlash on social media following their recent appearance on Koffee with Karan 9. The couple spoke candidly about their relationship and marriage, but some viewers accused Vijay of displaying red flags and behaving arrogantly towards Rashmika.

His comment that Rashmika had to ask him 100 times before he agreed to marry her became a major talking point. Now, Rashmika has responded to the incessant trolling with a lengthy statement defending their relationship and hitting back at those attacking them.

Rashmika said the reaction to their interview had gone beyond people expressing opinions. Calling it an angry mob looking for someone to vent at, she clarified that the discussion was never about the number of times she asked Vijay or how long he took to decide.

She explained that Vijay wanted them to take time to understand each other and be sure about their future. Defending their relationship, she said, “And yes, I am OBSESSED with my man. When did that become a bad thing?”

She also objected to people dragging her family into the controversy, saying, “That’s not feminism. That’s bullying dressed up as feminism.” Rashmika concluded that the couple had built their lives on their own terms and would continue choosing each other.

However, the controversy has also triggered debate about their decision to appear on Koffee with Karan. Some fans feel the couple could have avoided the backlash by staying away from the show, pointing to the outrage faced by other celebrity couples, including Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, after their appearance.

One social media comment summed up the criticism with a sharp line: “Koffee with Karan is the only show where you’re served black coffee, and your image gets a blackwash.”

Another user argued that the couple had brought unnecessary hate upon themselves by choosing to appear on the show.

The backlash was summed up with another blunt comparison: “It’s like choosing to sit on a grenade pin yourself.”

While Rashmika has made her position clear, the episode has also renewed a familiar debate about whether Koffee with Karan helps stars connect with audiences or gives social media fresh material to scrutinize their personal lives.
