
The makers of Chiru’s Bholaa Shankar applied for ticket price hikes in AP. Had there been earlier circumstances where Chiru was diplomatic with AP government, the chances for approval of ticket price hikes was all but confirmed.
However, in the wake of Chiru’s latest comments, the AP government has started to point out rules with regard to Bholaa Shankar’s request for ticket price hikes. They have asked the makers to submit proofs that at least 20% of the film was shot in AP and also financial records of the film crossing Rs 100 crores if they are to permit ticket price hikes.
This has in turn led to an argument on social media. Netizens are questioning the moral aspect of the AP government.
“This very same AP government gave ticket hikes to Radhe Shyam and Adipurush. Were these films shot in AP. Did the makers submit financial transactions of these films? Now that Chiru has made a generic advise, AP government has started to speak rules. How can Prabhas have one rule and Chiru have another rule” a netizen commented.
