Megastar Chiranjeevi‘s Bholaa Shankar is set for its release on the 11th of this month. And just two days prior to the release, the film is facing an adverse situation as a distributor has moved the court to halt the film’s release.
Going into the story, Vizag Satish, who is active in film distribution bought Agent theatrical rights from the producer, Anil Sunkara.
He states that he bought the AP, TS, and Karnataka distribution rights of Agent, but he was given only Vizag distribution rights in the end, which in turn left him in losses.
“They then gave me Vizag rights of Samajavaragamana, which recovered a small part of Agent losses. They promised to settle the pending amount by the time their next film releases. Now their Bholaa Shankar is releasing but they haven’t cleared my dues. So I’m moving the court to stay the film’s release till my financial issue is settled” Satish wrote in the media communication.
On the other hand, the production house reportedly claims that the distribution deal document that Satish submitted to the court is a forged one.
The case is reportedly coming to hearing today and an affirmative update on this stay order could be out towards the latter part fo the day.
