Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit, starring Prabhas, is set to go on floors in May 2025, with pre-production already in full swing. Backed by Bhushan Kumar and Pranay Reddy Vanga, the film is expected to be a high-octane cop-based action thriller and the most commercial film of Vanga’s career.
Sources close to the project reveal that Vanga has completed most of the writing and is gearing up to present a fresh take on the cop genre. The film will follow an intense cat-and-mouse chase, with a unique storytelling approach designed to captivate audiences.
Prabhas, playing a cop for the first time in his career, is undergoing a significant transformation to achieve a lean and agile look for the role. He has already begun training to match the physical demands of the character.
The shoot will kick off in Hyderabad, with multiple schedules planned across India and international locations. Spirit is targeting a release in the second half of 2026, making it one of Indian cinema’s most anticipated films.
After completing Spirit, Vanga will move on to Animal Park, the sequel to Animal, with Ranbir Kapoor, which is expected to begin filming in 2027.
