Prasads IMAX Becomes Nuisance-Free!

On June 30, the management of Prasad IMAX Theater made an important decision to prohibit YouTubers and film review-related channels from entering their premises after an incident occurred on June 16 where a fight resulted between Prabhas fans and one of the audience members over Adipurush.

Every Friday, these ‘self-proclaimed’ reviewers and YouTube channels created a nuisance in front of the theater. Their only aim was to get some cheap publicity by exaggerating their movie reviews and doing funny antics for popularity. These videos went viral on social media but negatively affected the film’s prospects, giving headaches to the producers. There were reports that these YouTube channels even started hiring people to give exaggerated reviews for more views and revenue.

The whole Public Talk phenomenon became messy, and it became difficult to distinguish real from staged videos. After Prasads Multiplex banned these Public Talk activities, the YouTube channels started conducting them outside the multiplex, causing traffic issues.

But this Friday, there was no such crowd in front of the theater during the release of movies like Rangabali, Bhaag Saale, and O Saathiya. Many were relieved that Prasads finally became nuisance-free. We don’t know if the scenario will be the same in the coming weeks, but as of now, it was a relief not only for the producers and theater management but also for the audience coming to watch movies who were heckled by these Youtube channels to give a review even when they were not interested.
