After the success of HanuMan, director Prasanth Varma is expanding his Cinematic Universe with his next project titled Mahakali. The makers released the film’s first look poster on Thursday. Kannada actress Bhoomi Shetty, who is popular on social media for embracing her natural skin tone without filters, plays the lead role.

The first look shows Bhoomi Shetty in an intense and powerful avatar covered in gold ornaments and embodying the fierce energy of Goddess Kali. Pooja Kollur is directing the movie under Prasanth Varma’s creative supervision.

However, a flood of trolls has hijacked Prasanth Varma’s Mahakali poster comments and replies section on social media. They are bashing him for coming up with what they believe is an AI-generated poster. They are sharing AI prompts in the comments and claiming that the film used such AI prompts to create the poster. Many feel that the entire film will be made using AI, just like a few recent projects. According to them, there is no real cost, no effort, and no real actors involved.

This has become a headache for Prasanth Varma. He now has to explain and prove that they have come up with a genuine poster designed by the team featuring the lead actress and not with the help of AI. Going forward, this is going to be a problem for many makers in the future. They will have to prove that their work is real and not AI generated.

Some also claim that Prasanth Varma has a habit of releasing only posters with no clarity about their shooting and release dates. They pointed out how projects like Jai Hanuman were announced with great buzz but got stuck in limbo.

It now remains to be seen how Prasanth Varma and his team convince audiences that the Mahakali poster is real and not a product of AI.
