Pressure Building on Sandeep Reddy

Remaking a cult movie has always proved disastrous as it is highly impossible to bring in the magic of the original. Here, the Hindi remake of ‘Arjun Reddy’ is different as the original Telugu version’s filmmaker is going to helm the the Bollywood remake, as well. The Tamil remake ‘Varma’ of the same is being directed by Bala.

The Tamil teaser received the worst feedback and hence, the social media is literally mounting pressure on the original director after he announced the title ‘Kabir Singh‘. During the promotional interviews of ‘Arjun Reddy’, Sandeep Reddy kept reiterating that he couldn’t show everything he wanted to in the Telugu version keeping the South sensibilities in mind.

So, there would be no limitations whatsoever of a regional film in his Bollywood remake. He can go all his way and tell the crudest form of the story that he had visualized initially. Telugu fans of ‘Arjun Reddy’ will anyway keep him reminding to live up to the expectations on the original. Let’s see if the director gets twice lucky with the same project.
