Pressure On Upcoming Biggie To Change Release Date

Sarkar is one of the most eagerly awaited biggies that is going to release soon. It comes in the combination of Vijay and AR Murugadoss who have previously delivered two blockbusters. The release date as of now is November 6th, and there is an immense pressure from exhibitors to change it.

The reason for that is another biggie Thugs Of Hindostan arriving after two days. The Bollywood movie stars Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan in the lead roles and is coming with high budget and expectations. They are also going to arrive simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil. Seen individually, Tamil version of Sarkar and Thugs of Hindostan in Hindi, don’t have an issue. The problem comes in Southern territories like the Telugu states or the Karnataka and Kerala where they have to share screens.

The exhibitors are of the opinion that Sarkar should arrive earlier on November 2nd itself. The pressure is mounted for the same on producers as that would help both films perform to the optimum without eating into each other’s business in common territories.
