The highly successful Telugu film Missamma is being remade in Kannada. Recently it was announced that Priyamani will reprise the role of Bhumika from the original, but Priya has been dropped from the project after she faced creative differences with her producer.
Priya was dropped after the producer couldn’t meet her demand to have her Bombay designer design her clothes for her role in the film. Since the designer was charging a bomb, the producer couldn’t afford it and therefore said no to Priya’s request. This led to some differences between Priya and the producer and she apparently walked out of the project. Kannada actress Ragini Dwivedi has replaced her while Nikesha Patel, heroine from Panjaa, is playing the role of Laya in the remake.
The shooting of the remake has already started and it is expected to be completed soon. Will the remake be as successful as the original?
