Producers Turned Victims of Telangana Elections

While Friday was the fate-deciding day for the Telangana leaders, the elections stunted the releases of films that chose the same day for the screening. The struggling hero Bellamkonda Sreenivas’ Kavacham did not even have premiers in the US due to KDMs issue and even India the shows were delayed at several places.

This dented the revenues of the films released on the election day. Other films were Subrahmanyapuram, Subhalekhalu, Next Enti and there was literally no space for these films in the media for the light was taken totally by the elections.

Even web media gave less importance to the films for the election heat was at peaks. It clearly seems to be a bad idea to release the films on the election day. Firstly, no scope for promotion and secondly, none of these films received positive talk which only made it worse making the producers the victims of the poor decision.
