Telugu Filmmaker R Narayan Murthy was very disappointed at an event such that he even walked out of the programme. The occasion was that of Indian Cinema Centenary Celebrations in Chennai. The celebration of Telugu Cinema at event in Chennai turned ugly when well known filmmaker R Narayana Murthy went on the stage and interrupted the programme. He labelled the event as “an audio function” with stage item songs and also stated that he was very disappointed with the way the organisers had displayed the Telugu cinema.
Murthy said that he was very disappointed with the event and wanted the organisers to know about his displeasure and that was the reason why he went on and interrupted the show. According to him, the programme seemed like just another Telugu audio function and people seemed bored of watching it. He made a big scene on stage and questioned why Balachandar was felicitated and why not Viswanth from Telugu. It seems he expected a lot and he was disappointed.
