Puli surprises – Shivam falters

After the disastrous reviews and word of mouth in addition to delayed release many expected Puli to simply have no openings at all. But the film has surprised the trade with decent numbers even with late release.

Puli after releasing from evening shows on second day has had a decent follow up on next day, especially the smaller centers have been good. Presence of good number of recognizable faces along with the fantasy subject seems to be a big draw here despite the critical drubbing its getting.

Shivam on the other hand has had a good opening day but it showed a noticeable drop immediately on the second day and things don’t seem to augur well for the future in spite of trimming of the film. With a big film coming up this Friday, its game over after the weekend for both these films though.
