Puri Jagannadh is not in the best of his form over several years. The ace director who was once known for his mark films is reeling under pressure to deliver a proper hit. But interestingly Puri is still one of the most wanted directors in Tollywood and he is paid well too. According to Tollywood sources, Puri still draws 9 Crore remuneration for a film which is next only after the remunerations of SS Rajamouli (14 Crore) and Trivikram Srinivas (10 Crore).
Interestingly Puri’s remuneration is still more than that of VV Vinayak and Srinu Vaitla even though they are in good form than Puri. It is said that Vinayak and Vaitla still take home the 8 Crore pay cheque. Analysts say that Puri is in still demand for the minimum guarantee content he delivers. Also the director wraps up a movie shooting in very low number of working days than any of his other contemporaries. So, producers do not hesitate to pay Puri well.
