Allu Arjun Spoiling Students? Who’s Responsible?

A recent discussion at a Hyderabad government school has stirred debate in film circles after the school’s principal blamed movies, particularly Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2, for negatively influencing students.

She claimed that nearly half of her students had become unruly troublemakers due to the film’s impact. However, this raises a larger question—are movies solely responsible for children’s behavior, or is the issue more deep-rooted?

During a recent meeting with the education commission, several government school teachers and principals voiced concerns about the negative influence of films on students.

The principal highlighted that children were using foul language picked up from the streets, sporting unruly hairstyles, and disregarding discipline despite repeated warnings.

She also pointed out that many parents were failing in their responsibilities, leaving schools to deal with the consequences of poor upbringing.

While it’s undeniable that movies can have an impact, the bigger issue appears to be the lack of parental control and the overall social environment.

If half the students are acting out after watching Pushpa 2, the other half remain unaffected—likely due to stricter parental guidance. This reinforces the idea that upbringing plays a crucial role in shaping a child’s behavior.

Instead of blaming films entirely, parents need to be more involved in guiding their children.

Another major challenge for teachers today is the loss of disciplinary authority. In the past, they could enforce strict discipline, but now they are limited to mild warnings due to fear of backlash.

Despite these challenges, true educators are those who can inspire positive change without resorting to harsh punishments.
